Winning Bicycle Racing Illustrated was the cycling magazine I read in the eighties. I opened every issue with eagerness and read everything. I caught a glimpse of pro cycling and embraced the pros as my heroes. One of them was 1988 Giro d'ltalia winner, Andy Hampsten - so cool in the wool maglia rosa, cycling cap, Huffy lugged steel frame and Oakley factory pilots!
